The Sunset Cove Board of Directors, as assisted by two very helpful homeowners, has identified two styles of lights as the preferred replacements for the (very old) exterior lights on our units. Click on this link to see examples of the two styles of lights: Mission/Craftsman and Contemporary. We are also presenting examples of brass lights that look nearly identical to the lights we currently have in the event that you want to match what you already have.
The color choices are usually black or dark brown. In some cases, the dark brown color is referred to as “oil-rubbed bronze”. Please pick the color that looks best with your unit (either black, dark brown or oil-rubbed bronze). The link, below, also presents examples of smaller lights for the rear of your unit.

Finally, the attached link presents examples of “dusk to dawn” lights and “screw-in dusk to dawn controls” in the event that you want to have dusk to dawn lighting. The Board requests that you communicate with your neighbors to make certain they would not be disturbed by your exterior lights being on all night.

The Board has approved the five (5) colors for painting the front doors. Please contact Denise for the actual colors/names. You may select the color you want, request/complete an ARC Form, and submit your form to Denise for Board approval. Due to security issues, owners paint their own front doors in Sunset Cove as the doors need to remain open for a number of hours to dry.
Before you paint your door or purchase your exterior lights, please submit an (ARC) Architectural Control Form to the Board, describing your color selection or the type of lights you want to purchase. Include a photo of the lights, please! Thank you.
